i already shared that i thought you'd make an excellent administrator. although what you described in your previous entry is very utopian.
i think it would take a very concious effort and a lot of planning to still be able to devote time to students outside of disciplinary issues...but i think you could do it.

should you choose to become an administrator, let me know. i would be honored to work for you.

I have also wrestled with the whole administration thing! It's hard. There is a very delicate balance. I think that the best administrators are those that are curriculum focused and kid-centered. Sounds to me like you'd be great at it.

I hope you go for it. You sound like you'd be a great administrator because you'd be doing it for all the right reasons. Too many administrators are in it because they didn't like the classroom, or because they were too motivated by the extra money. We need more people like you to be in positions where they can make a greater difference for an entire school.
